What makes the Coco Shade special?
01. Artisan handwoven
Every sail is handwoven from coconut fibre. Small differences in tone, shape and weave are normal and make each piece one of a kind.
02. Filtered light
The open weave blocks harsh sunlight and lets through soft, dappled light – the feel of shade under trees.
03. Easy to install
The hand-braided edges have mounting loops. Stretch the sail over a pergola or gazebo, between posts or between trees, using natural rope or carabiners and tensioners.
04. Natural look
The warm sand tone pairs with wood, rattan, linen and gravel – ideal for patio, pool, garden or hospitality.

| Rectangular | 2 × 3 m | 6 m² | 4.5 kg |
| Rectangular | 3 × 4 m | 12 m² | 8.8 kg |
| Rectangular | 3 × 5 m | 15 m² | 11.1 kg |

| Triangular | 3.5 × 3.5 × 3.5 m | 5.3 m² | 4.2 kg |
Please note: coconut fibre is a 100% natural, supple, handwoven material. The stated dimensions apply to the sail when tensioned and mounted – straight out of the packaging it measures smaller. Even when tensioned, the size may differ slightly from the nominal size. This is inherent to hand weaving and not a manufacturing defect.
Care
Dust the sail regularly with a soft brush or cloth so dirt and leaf debris do not settle into the weave. For a deeper clean, gently wipe it with a damp cloth or sponge and mild soap, then let it dry completely. Avoid prolonged trapped moisture and store the sail dry when not in use – this helps the fibre keep its strength.

FAQ
Is a coconut fibre shade sail waterproof?
No. The open weave lets air and rain through. This keeps the space underneath airy and helps the sail dry faster. Looking for a waterproof solution? Explore our parasols and closed shade sails.
Why does the size differ when I unpack the sail?
The stated size applies to the tensioned, mounted sail. Straight out of the packaging, a handwoven coconut sail measures smaller; the weave only stretches once it is tensioned correctly. Even tensioned, the size may vary slightly – typical of handmade products.
How do I install the shade sail?
The hand-braided edges have mounting loops. Stretch the sail over a pergola or gazebo, between posts or between trees, using natural rope or carabiners and tensioners.
Does every sail differ in colour and weave?
Yes, slightly. Every sail is handwoven from natural coconut fibre, so small differences in tone, shape and weave are normal. No two sails are identical.
How do I care for a coconut fibre shade sail?
Dust it regularly with a soft brush. If needed, clean it with a damp cloth and mild soap and let it dry completely. Store it dry when not in use.
What is the difference between the Sauleda and the BazarBizar Coco Shade?
The Sauleda Coco Shade is a sturdy 950–1000 g/m² fabric with a cotton core and stainless steel thimbles in the corners, available up to 4 × 5 m with matching coconut net and rope. The BazarBizar Coco Shade is handwoven, lighter (approx. 730–800 g/m²) and has hand-braided edges with mounting loops, in 5 sizes up to 3 × 5 m. Sauleda is the sturdiest choice for large spans; choose BazarBizar for an artisan, handwoven look.
