All three TAVO car seats — Maeve, Hendrick and Dupree II — have integrated ISOFIX latches and are crash-tested to ECE R129. Even so, they're not three variations of the same product: each is designed with a different use in mind. In this article we compare them on dimensions, weight capacity, airline and buggy compatibility, and price, so you know exactly which one suits your dog or cat — and the way you travel.

2. TAVO Maeve — the flagship
The TAVO Maeve is the most luxurious model in the range and comes in three sizes: Iso5X (up to 13.5 kg), Iso6X (up to 18 kg) and Iso7X (up to 18 kg, extra length, with an R/L version for the installation side). Alongside the "Standard" version, there's a "Wind" version with built-in two-speed ventilation and exclusive colours (Fawn, Tawny, Merle, Ashen). The Maeve stands out with EPP foam, a Tailor Tech memory-foam side-impact guard, magnetic MagneTech buckles, a 180°-opening canopy with a peekaboo window, two liner sets, and GREENGUARD Gold certification. Ideal for those wanting maximum comfort and the most premium finish, and it's directly compatible with the Roscoe Trek buggy without an adapter. Not designed to fit as airline hand luggage.
3. TAVO Hendrick — car seat and carrier in one
The TAVO Hendrick combines an integrated ISOFIX car seat with a flexible frame that also works as a carrier — handy on trains, buses, or other tight spaces where a rigid crate isn't practical. Weighing approx. 4 kg and with a maximum capacity of 20.4 kg, this is the model with the highest weight limit of the three, making the Hendrick a good choice for larger dogs. Available in Onyx and Tawny. Buggy compatible via the separately available Hendrick buggy adapter combined with the Roscoe Trek. Not airline-approved.
4. TAVO Dupree II — the travel companion for car and plane
At approx. 3 kg, the TAVO Dupree II is the lightest model and, at the same time, the only one of the three that's also allowed in the airplane cabin: thanks to its flexible frame, it fits flat under the seat in front of you. With a maximum capacity of 9 kg, this car seat is designed for smaller dogs and cats. If you fly regularly and travel by car, the Dupree II means you only need one bag for both. Buggy compatible via the separately available Dupree Stroller Adapter combined with the Roscoe Trek. Available in Onyx and Merle.
5. Which car seat suits your situation?
- You have a larger dog (up to 20.4 kg) and want flexibility above all — choose the TAVO Hendrick.
- You want the most luxurious, premium comfort for your dog or cat up to 18 kg — choose the TAVO Maeve, optionally in the Wind version for extra ventilation.
- You fly regularly with your pet or want one car seat for both car and plane — choose the TAVO Dupree II.
- You often walk or jog with the Roscoe Trek buggy — all three are compatible; the Maeve directly, and the Hendrick and Dupree II with their own adapter.
Still not sure? Pay close attention to your dog or cat's weight and dimensions: a car seat that's just too tight offers less protection, even if the ISOFIX system itself is sound. Want to know more about why ISOFIX is safer than a seatbelt or a loose crate? Read our article on ISOFIX.
