A coconut fibre shade sail gives your patio, garden or pergola filtered shade with a warm, natural look. The open weave lets air through to keep things cool and breaks the wind instead of catching it. Why a coconut fibre shade sail?
A classic polyester shade sail blocks the sun, but also traps heat. Coconut fibre is an open, natural weave: it softens the sun, lets air circulate and creates dappled light and shade like under a reed pergola. It is 100% natural and pairs perfectly with wood, rattan, linen and gravel.
Which size should you choose?
Measure the space between your fixing points (façade, posts, pergola or trees) and choose a slightly smaller sail so you can tension it. Please note: coconut fibre is a natural weave. Stated sizes apply to the tensioned sail; straight out of the packaging it measures smaller, and even when tensioned the size may vary by a few percent.
Installation and accessories
Tension the sail with the Sauleda coconut rope (20 m, Ø 12 mm) for a fully natural look, or with carabiners and stainless steel tensioners for a taut finish. Also browse all our shade sails.
