First-class legroom. Maximum safety. Ultimate travel comfort.
The Sleepypod® Air 2 airline approved pet carrier is the revolutionary premium pet travel carrier that redefines how pets fly and ride.
Its innovative design combines safety, comfort, and flexibility, ensuring your pet always travels in First Class – whether in the air or on the road.
During take-off and landing, the carrier compresses to fit under most airline seats. Once in flight, it expands to give your pet extra space to stretch out.
On the road, Sleepypod Air 2 Premium Pet Travel Carrier functions as a certified crash-tested car seat featuring PPRS (Pet Passenger Restraint System) technology. Certified by the Center for Pet Safety for pets up to 18 lbs (8 kg).
The Ultra Plush bedding creates a soft, cozy den – perfect as a pet bed at home or while traveling. With Velcro closures and dual zippers, Sleepypod Air transitions easily between carrier, car seat, and pet bed.

FAQ
How does the Sleepypod Air adapt to different airline seat sizes?
The Sleepypod Air features a unique patent-pending design that allows it to contract in length from 22 inches to 19 or 16 inches. This ensures it fits under the seat during takeoff and landing while allowing you to expand it during the flight for maximum pet comfort.
Is the Sleepypod Air safe for car travel?
Yes, Sleepypod is a leader in pet safety. The Air has been crash-tested to the same standards as child safety seats. It features secure seatbelt straps on both sides to keep your pet stable and protected during road trips.
What are the cleaning instructions?
The interior plush bedding is removable and machine washable. The exterior is made of water-repellent, ballistic nylon, which can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth, ensuring a hygienic environment for your pet.
Is the Sleepypod Air safe for car travel?
Absolutely. Sleepypod is globally renowned for its crash-tested safety. The Air is equipped with straps on both sides, allowing you to secure the carrier firmly with a seatbelt. This ensures the bag meets the same rigorous safety standards as child car seats.
How do I know if my pet will fit in the Sleepypod Air?
The carrier is suitable for dogs up to approximately 8 kg and cats up to 10 kg. More important than weight are your pet's dimensions: they must be able to lie down comfortably. The internal dimensions vary between 41-53 cm in length, with a width of 24 cm and a height of 24 cm.
Is the Sleepypod Air approved by all airlines?
The Sleepypod Air is designed to comply with IATA guidelines and the requirements of most major airlines (such as KLM, Lufthansa, and British Airways). Because rules can vary depending on the aircraft type, we always recommend verifying the dimensions with your airline before travel.
