Know what's in your dog: DNA test
With the Wisdom Panel Essential dog DNA test you take a cheek swab at home. You receive an online report with the breed mix down to 1% (from more than 430 breeds, types and varieties), a family tree back to the great-grandparents, more than 25 genetic health tests including MDR1 and more than 50 traits. Results follow about 2 to 3 weeks after the lab receives your sample. Discuss the MDR1 result with your vet, for example before a procedure.
Balance disc and rehabilitation for your dog: FitPAWS
On an unstable surface your dog has to find and hold its balance, which works many muscle groups at once. Recovery after surgery: soft protective cone
The Comfy Cone is an alternative to the hard plastic cone: laminated nylon over a firm foam layer. It stops your dog or cat from licking or scratching a wound, yet stays in place while eating, walking and sleeping and gives way when it bumps into something. There are eight sizes, from cats and Chihuahuas to very large dogs, with long versions for dogs with a longer snout.
